Recover a missing image before saving

Retry the original image, replace it from your device, or skip just that image.

Step by step

How to do it

    Find the missing-image card in the PDF or Word preview. Missing image details explains a request, format or conversion failure without displaying private URL tokens.

    Choose Load missing images when a source website is available, then Allow access to the listed website. Retry image uses the retained original when available.

  3. 3

    If the source still refuses access, save the image from Claude to your device and choose Choose replacement image. Pick a supported PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP or AVIF file.

  4. 4

    If you do not need the image, choose Skip image. Only that image is removed; the remaining conversation stays in the file. Then download Word or print the PDF.
